Lamar Campbell is a contemporary gospel songwriter and the leader of a large choir, Spirit of Praise. Before he formed Spirit of Praise in the mid-'90s, he was best known as a songwriter, writing for a number of groups, including the GMWA Women of Worship. I have purchased every cd that Lamar and SOP have produced and I have never been dissapointed. Yet I must say that they reach new heights with "From the Heart". The music in this piece is exactly as the album title suggests. It is straight from the heart of a man that seeks no other purpose but to honor God. The music is fun, inspiring, and genuine. I have shared this album with many of my friends and they all have the same thing to say. "This man is truly in love with Jesus." If you are looking for a sincere and joyful worship experience, you will indeed hit the mark in purchasing this album. I'm in love with Jesus, Lamar, and SOP!

The new album from Lamar Campbell and Spirit of Praise is off the chain. From the first song to the last track, this album is a must have cd. I have truly been blessed from this album. i would highlyencourage everyone who loves praise and worship music to purchase this cd.
