For the price, this works very well. The normal flame heats up a metal screen that produces a very uniform infrared heat, with no visible flame. Great for heating things without scorching. Be careful when placing the unit down, as the metal nozzle gets very hot.

I thought it was a torch, but it's only a heat gun, just warm enough to heat the pipe.
