The Sims 2 for Gamecube, July 19, 2006
Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
To make it short and sweet, for those of us who don't meet the requirments for the computer version of The Sims, this version (which is also on PS2) is the best one for consoles. I've played all three of the console Sim games and this (or Bustin' Out!) is my favorite. It's really solid, the worst part is not being able to have a kid. Other than that, all the regular stuff is still there (along with some neat things like learning/cooking recipes). However, the computer version is better because there is so much more. Hope you found this helpful.

A very ookay game., June 5, 2006
Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This game is pretty cool, with all the new graphics and fashion customizations, the ability to change colors and cut it to a smaller size, and you probably will notice, the amazing graphics, well probably not that amazing, but pretty much amazing compared to the previous sim games. And you really can get closer up! It was so weird really being able to get close up to your sim's face. And the ability to give the sim earrings, belts, tatoos, and necklaces really is very attractive.
But if you want it to be straight out the same as the sims 2.. You shouldn't get this game. This game is an entirely different game because of it's no ability of having babies, a second floor, and a 3-d overview of the neighborhood. And also there is no neighborhood. You can't even call 4 lots a neighborhood! And this pathetic story mode was not even a story mode! I can't even find the story in this mode! First you have to take a shower, clean up, and jump on the trampoline and then your so-called roomates will return home. No story in that at all. And then you will automically want to talk to someone then become a friend of that person. What happened to mom? What happened to that attractive moving out selection? Is this really better than the bustin out one?
And what happened to the cars? That was a cool thing to have! And what happened to community lots? And what happened to the pizza delivery guy? And what happened to children? You can customizate an adult and an elder, but not a child! And the elders are uggggggggggggglay! And everyone in the story mode will probably make you lose your love for this game. And you also probably will like that you can WooHoo in any double bed, not just the love bed. And also I am hoping that the next one will have a 3-d overview of the neighborhood, and the ability to have a 2nd floor, and CHILDREN!!!!!!!!! And aging!!!!!!!!!! Those will always be what everyone wants!
So this is a very oooooooookay game. Don't get this if you think you could get diappointed.

Graphics 9/10
The clothes, people, and objects are all so life-like! You can get way up in their faces and sleep and actually turn over like a real person. Also, when you're by a radio you snap your fingers and if you're by trash you fan your nose! It's so cool!
Music 4/10
The music is very disapointing for a sim game. In the very first place you come, the music is HORRIBLE! It's the gibberesh version of Avril Lavigne and Hilary Duff. It's so gross and irretating you are better off with silence.
Overall Gameplay 9/10
The whole game is lovely! You can do all sorts of things with your sim, and the sims around them! It's wonderfull! And it's a very excellent job by Maxis! It really stays true to the feeling of the sims.
All in all, you should get this game! It's the best Sims game in my opinion!
