Editorial Reviews

Product Description
If Buddy Holly had survived the fifties, been cryogenically frozen for the whole of disco, thawed in Buffalo, NY at the close of the nineties, and fed a steady diet of amphetamines and pop rocks, he might have sounded something like his quasi-homonym namesakes. 11 tracks. Sympathy 2003. --This text refers to the Audio CD edition.

4.0 out of 5 stars Damaged roots, January 27, 2004
By Leslie M. Basalla (Cleveland, OH) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Fire at Will (Audio CD)
I went to a show that these guys were opening not expecting much, but they were the big surprise of the evening. The best way I can describe their sound is AC/DC meets the Gun Club. It's music full of dark, seamy undertones, raw blues rhythms and alcohol-fueled fury fronted by a pint-sized geek who can yowl like a baby Bonn Scott. See the Bloody Hollies at the worst kind of rock and roll dive and see what I mean.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorites, July 5, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Fire at Will (Audio CD)
I saw these guys during their tour in spring 2004. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen. It was reall disa pointing that no one was there. I bought their CD right there, they were just that good. The CD lives up to standard ste by their live performance. The Bloody Hollies play an aggresive garage/ punk mix, with influences from old hard rock, and metal (think Motorhead, or AC/DC) and rockabilly. I recomend this Album for anyone who like loud fast rock n'roll.

you should try and enlighten yourself you guys. seriously, i had a revelation while this music met my ears. that punk garage is just a roar that isn't overproduced and monotonous.
