Soprano saxophonist Jane Ira Bloom CD Like Silver, Like Song on the innovative Artistshare label has critics talking. Her elecktro-acoustic band with longtime bandmates Mark Dresser (bass), Bobby Previte (drums & e-drums), and keyboard/ electronics wizard Jamie Saft galvanizes for her 12th and most recent recording. The musical journey this time is inspired by The Interpretation of Dreams. Like Silver, Like Song features twelve Bloom originals and one stunning sax/ bass rendition of the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic 'I Have Dreamed.' Bloom recorded the music just after the group's ground-breaking performances at Tonic and Sweet Rhythm in New York City and captured all the spark and spontaneity of the band's live kinetic energy. The CD also features an mp3 downloadable version of the music.
