Our all-natural, hardwood logs grow organic shiitakes indoors like plants, in room light or outdoors in shade. Harvest shiitakes every month by alternating the producing log. Logs require soaking in nonchlorinated water every two weeks. "Shock" the log in ice water to start mushrooms growing and harvest in 6-10 days. Logs last 3-4 years and are guaranteed to produce. PLEASE NOTE: Logs are living organisms and can't stay in the box without air and light for more than two weeks.
