5.0 out of 5 stars very nice, June 3, 2006
Raining Pleasure is an alternative rock group from Patras, Greece. In this album they perform the music composed by Manos Hadjidakis and originally performed by the New York Rock & Roll Ensemble in the early 70s. The production quality is great, the music well performed, layered and strcutured in a lovely way, the instruments vary giving an interesting sound and the version I have in my hands comes in a cute digipack with a rich booklet. Definitely worth having.

5.0 out of 5 stars A hidden Masterpiece!!, May 8, 2006
Its difficult to understand why this band hasn't moved out from Greece to the worldwide scene. Raining Pleasure produced great songs in all of their cd's, but Reflections is by far the best music record produced in Greece during the last years. I would say without a doubt that this album can easily compete with other alternative rock albums from anywhere in the world. I believe that Raining Pleasure only needs a small marketing push to captivate many fans in other countries.

The music of Hadjidakis (a very famous Greek composer) although quite "old" (many of the songs have been first produced back in the 60s 70s) is a great vehicle for Raining Pleasure to produce a majestic album filled with wonderful melodies and moving lyrics. This is one rare alternative rock masterpiece coming from the most unexpected source... Greece!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing music. Great band!, June 13, 2006

I stumbled across this band on My Space a couple months ago. Living in the States, their albums are near impossible to find. Luckily, I just went to Greece on my honeymoon and found the last 4 of their 5 brilliant albums. Each one is very different from the next. They seem to be fairly well known in Greece.

Reflections -while pop/rock/indie music- it has many elements of traditional Greek music influences found throughout. Some great instrumentals (not found in enough pop/indie music. Anyone remember the Monochrome Set?). Lovely harmonies and melodies. Great variety from dripping guitars to classical piano and strings. I hope these guys are getting fat off their music. They deserve it.

If you can find this album, take a chance and buy it. Most likely you'll love it!
