I will not make the same mistakes you did... That's the first line where this beautiful sensitive song starts with. Even though I don't even like these slow, dramatical kind of songs, I was immediately touched by Because Of You. Maybe it's true what they say; you can only really understand music when you can feel and understand the reason why the song has been brought into the world at all... And this time it isn't about a broken relationship with a boyfriend but about a family drama. I can really relate to that...
The song is about a girl who `blames' her mother for leaning on her during her childhood. She sings that everything she does or can't do now is a result of the way her mother has treated her in the past. In the videoclip you can see the pain of Kelly in her eyes and her voice.
I really think this is a magnificent single! And that of a girl who ones started her career in the search for a Superstar competition; American Idol. She went from an anonymous talent to a nationally known singer performing for an audience of millions of viewers.
Because Of You not only proves that Kelly Clarkson is an extraordinary singer, it also proves that she is not so tough everyone thinks she is. She is just a girl like you and me who expresses her hidden feelings about her past in this song. I would really suggest everyone who has had a difficult past with their parents to listen closely to the lyrics and you will understand what I just wrote...

Come on now it is Kelly Clarkson we are talking about this is another amazing song with an amazing singer goin at it and this exactly why Kelly is and will always be the greatest American Idol winner yet.
