Simply one of the most STUNNING albums, EVER!, July 12, 2007
Andreas Vollenweider, quite simply, is one of the most talented musicians that I have ever had the opportunity to listen to.
I first became familiar with him back in the 80's when Johnny Carson had him as a special guest on the Tonight Show. At the time, this album was about to be released, and he played several selections from it, and I was blown away, completely. If you are not familiar with Andreas, he plays the Electric Harp, and it is so haunting, eerie, almost percussive at moments....nothing like it!
I have always stayed "up" with his releases, and had all of them on vinyl, then cd, and now, on enhanced or remastered cd. Of all of them, this is simply the very best.
My favorite thing to do is to put this on my surround system, turn off all the lights, curl up on the couch in the dark in a fuzzy cover, and simply "drift" and "float", going wherever "the music takes me" on this particular journey! Never tireing, or repetative, like classical music, always the same, but also ever deepening. Click on some of the samples on here and give it a try...too bad they are so short, as you need to "live" in the selections on the album. Do trust me, and pick up this great classic album...I guarantee you will NEVER be sorry that you did, and hopefully, you'll thank me for convincing you to try this super talented musician's album! Enjoy! ~operabruin

A Tour De Force!, September 17, 2008
My parents gave me a used copy of this on cassette when I was 6 years old 18 years ago! Only problem was the label fell off and I had no idea who the musician was. Regardless I wore the heck out of that tape (there's damaged sections all over if you listen to it now!) because it was so phenomenal. Fast forward to today and I was finally able to identify what the heck the music was with a freeware app called Tunatic. Having finally figured out what the tape was all this time, I at last ordered the CD version!

Good stuff, June 20, 2008
Very cool. I like Down to the Moon better, but I don't think that you can go wrong with any Andreas Vollenweider CD that I have heard. They are all unique. I also like Caverna Magica and Behind the Gardens, Behind the Wall, Under the Tree. Worth the money.
