Product Description
Christine Bennett (Megan Ward) is a former nun who leaves her mentor, Mother Joseph, played by OSCAR® winner Patty Duke (The Miracle Worker), to join the modern world. She sets out to exonerate prodigious savants James and Edward Talley (David Proval of The Sopranos), accused of—but never tried for—their mother’s murder thirty years ago. The twins were sent to separate mental hospitals, and a public outcry ensues when James becomes the newest resident of Greenwillow, where Christine’s cousin is also a patient. Shocked by their enforced separation, she and handsome Detective Jack Brooks (Morgan Weisser) set out to establish the truth, but her "leap of faith" could cost Christine her life. Together, prodigious savants James and Edward Talley (David Proval of The Sopranos) were brilliant in their own way—so why have they have been separated for thirty years? Accused of their mother’s brutal murder, the twins were sent to separate institutions for the rest of their lives, but because they were never tried, nobody really knows the truth. Then Christine Bennett (Megan Ward), a former nun who has left the cloistered world of the convent for the modern one, meets the gentle James and decides to take up his cause. Setting out to exonerate and reunite the brothers, she teams up with handsome Det. Jack Brooks (Morgan Weisser) to find out what really happened…but the truth could kill her. Accused of their mother’s brutal murder, prodigious savants James and Edward Talley (David Proval of The Sopranos) were separated for thirty years—but what is their secret? Former nun Christine Bennett (Megan Ward) meets James when he becomes the newest resident of Greenwillow, the institution where Christine’s cousin, Gene, is also a patient. Shocked to learn that the twins were never tried and may have been kept apart for a crime they didn’t commit, she makes a "leap of faith," setting out to exonerate and reunite them. But even handsome Detective Jack Brooks (Morgan Weisser) may have trouble keeping Christine alive when her investigation reopens some old wounds…and stirs up new evil. Prodigious savants James and Edward Talley (David Proval of The Sopranos) have been confined for thirty years in separate mental hospitals, thousands of miles apart—but why? The truth may literally set them free when Christine Bennett (Megan Ward), a former nun who has left the cloistered world of the convent for the modern one, sets out to help them. Stunned to learn that the twins, accused of their mother’s brutal murder, were never tried, she enlists Det. Jack Brooks (Morgan Weisser) in an effort to reunite and exonerate them. Yet the past is filled with secrets, and as a public outcry ensues when James is transferred to a local care facility, Christine learns to her peril that those secrets can often be deadly. When Christine Bennett (Megan Ward) leaves the cloistered world of the convent for the freedom of the modern world, she gets drawn into a struggle for freedom of another kind. Twins James and Edward Talley (David Proval of The Sopranos) are prodigious savants, confined in separate mental institutions since their mother’s brutal death thirty years ago. When Christine learns that they were never tried, and so may have been kept unwillingly apart for a crime they did not commit, she sets out to exonerate and reunite the brothers. Working with handsome Detective Jack Brooks (Morgan Weisser), Christine tries to find out what really happened, but an angry community—and a shadowy figure—oppose her. 5.0 out of 5 stars "179 seconds to death", March 8, 2006
Christine Bennett (Megan Ward) gives up being a num and goes out into the real world with a house that she inherits. A close cousin Gene Wirth (Matt Lutz) is in a mental institution near buy. Gene has a friend there Edward Talley one of a pair of idiot savant twins (both played by Rutanya Alda) they were suspected of matricide 30years ago but never brought to trial. Christine with the aid of Det. Jack Brooks (Morgan Weisser) is determined to get to the bottom of this and put the suspicions to rest one way or another.

Looks like many people had motive and opportunity; there is a lot of finger pointing and confessions. We get to speculate and participate.

A made for TV movie based on "The Good Friday Murders" the first of a series of mystery books by Lee Harris all with holidays in their title. Deviates some from the book but does a fair job of filling in the background and characters around the middle of the movie. Even if you guess the who did it, it is fun to watch how they figure it out or not. This looks like a made for TV pilot. Look closely Patty Duke is Mother Joseph.
