I purchased a Xantrex XPower Powerpack 1500 from Amazon along with a 3 year NEW warranty in August 2006. The Powerpack does not work and I would like to get it fixed or replaced.

I have been trying since early October of this year to get some satisfaction. The first solution provided to me by NEW was to take my Powerpack to "The Equipment Superstore" a 45 minute one way drive from my home. I went there and was told they do not service items such as mine. They thought it was a generator.

I called NEW and relayed the information and was told they would find another location for service. I was finally told that MowerMD in Orlando would service my Powerpack and that they would be getting in touch with me. I waited and waited and finally called MowerMD and was told that they had no service number and could do nothing. I called NEW again and was told they were having trouble getting a FAX to MowerMD but that it would be there tomorrow. That was 11/03/2008 and MowerMD still has not received a FAX from NEW. I called NEW and got the service number and relayed it to MowerMD on 11/07/2008 so they could be looking for it. MowerMD has not received this FAX yet. I have been told that NEW is having difficulty getting a FAX to MowerMD. It would have been simpler and at this date faster to send it thru the United States Postal Service instead of a FAX.

I bought the warranty in good faith but it seems to me that NEW is not willing or able to hold up their end of the warranty. I feel I am being stonewalled.

I have not received one bit of voluntary feedback from NEW on this whole situation. I have had to call both NEW and MowerMD in order to find out anything. This is NOT service.

This is NOT the type of reaponse I expecte from someone who does business under the Amazon umbrella.
