I bought this thinking it counld give my house wi-fi. And it dosen't the CD didnt even work. If you want wi-fi you need a wireless router. This is a Pre-N Router

I'm using it in a Dell Inspiron, so I can hang out on my deck in the shade and do work without worrying about signal strength from the router in my home office. Not only did it extend the range and increase the power of the router signal at my house, but when I took my laptop to visit relatives in a crowded NJ suburb, it picked up several router signals in the neighborhood. My brother-in-law was impressed.
