Product Description
Do you have what it takes to win the high school national championships? Kazuhiko Aikawa does, and a 5 ft 8 in, he can slam dunk that ball like there is no tomorrow. But winning the national championships isn't enough for Kazuhiko. He soon transfers from his old school at Tendouji HS to his new school at Mizuho HS so he can better his game... except there's no boys' basketball team. A one year suspension is given to the team when Fujiwara, a star player, knocks out the former coach. The team has dwindled to just 4 players, and with Kazuhiko the team can be whole again, but for some reason no one wants to play. Kazuhiko needs to take this team to the next level as he shows off his mad basketball skills as well as be his talkative, charming self. Contains the entire season of Hoop Days - over 10 hours. It is a very excellent anime about sports and fighting spirits. Apart from being unnecessarily violent, the players show their positive side of improving themselves (skill, attitude and mind) about basketball. The characters are designed finely. Their interaction with each other, their attitudes are inspiring. I believe people might be able to learn something from this anime. I am not a sports fan but I continued to watch this anime until the end. Actually, I purchased it by mistake. I thought it was another anime about basketball. After watching 2 to 3 episodes, I thought it was awesome!! Great price for this box set.

I would have to say that Hoop days is a great series for the price. The characters are interesting and the plot is straight foreward. The animation quality can get poor at times, but I am not complaining as for the most part I was pleased with this purchase. I like the little bits of romance in there series but it was never overdone, overall it was perfect. The dub was okay, not outstanding work, but most of the characters voices worked out well; the only few I had a problem with were when older men were cast for the voices of teenagers; that just did not suit the characters. Bottom line this series is mainly just fun and entertaining, something to kick back and watch.

Enjoyable anime to watch for a great price.
Good story nice character development and great designs. I was pulled into the story and wish the anime was a little longer if you
like basket ball and anime give it a shot.
