5.0 out of 5 stars Hotter than hell, December 28, 2007
Originally recordered in 1965, a fundamental masterpiece and perfect example of so called "brazilian jazz".
Here, in this record, we have three of a kind. Hermeto Pascoal on piano and flute, Humberto Clayber on bass and Airto Moreira (later on Return To Forever)on drums.
Here they are, creating explosive grooves and jamming the hell out of their instruments, recreating traditional brazilian themes as long as bossa nova songs, all gathered with as very tasteful jazz sauce.
The only drawback: probably for commercial reasons, and of course LP limited time capacity, in many tracks, when everything is going mad and they are jamming like insane, the songs is cut, fading...
Anyway, a very good piece of work from three brazilian virtuosis
