About the Actor

Steve Horelick is best known as the sound designer that scored all of the episodes and wrote the theme song for TV's "Reading Rainbow." But his experience goes far beyond that! His original songs have been recorded by artists including: Chaka Khan, Bobby McFerrin, Peabo Bryson, Phoebe Snow and others. Of particular note, his film score for HBO's documentary "When It Was A Game" earned him an EMMY nomination. Other recognitions include New York Film Festival, GRAMMY, and several national advertising awards.

As an Apple Certified Trainer, Steve combines 10 years of expertise in Notator/Logic with experience as a working composer/producer to show students insightful and inspiring techniques for making music.
