About the Artist
Released February 25th, 2006, at the Coronado Playhouse in San Diego, California, Silhouette is the first original album from Likeminded. Blending a pop-rock flare with its roots in praise and worship, the band delivers a fresh sound with 10 new songs that ask honest questions, pose challenges, lift your attention upwards, and give a glimpse of a well-rounded band that can have fun. Though this is the first original album from Likeminded, the band has played both domestically and abroad for a number of years with over 250 Christian organizations. Silhouette also features Remember, a song inspired by the rough-cut documentary film, Invisible Children. Now a full non-profit organization, Invisible Children is working to expose the tragedy of a rebel-war in northern Uganda, and its lasting effects on the children that are its biggest victims. Likeminded has partnered with this non-profit organization, and has dedicated all profits from the song Remember to the children of the film, and their counterparts in northern Uganda.
Product Description
Likeminded blends soul-searching, real-life issues and ideas with a pop-rock flare. The music is honest. It asks questions, it poses challenges, it soars with anthemic melodies, but whispers of lifes mysteries. Rock guitars reminiscent of Switchfoot or Coldplay dialogue with haunting pianos and crisp acoustic guitars. The passion and creativity of the bands music is inspired by the bands rich and diverse musical history. Likeminded has performed both domestically and internationally for several years with such organizations as The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Horizon International, Youth for Christ, Campus Crusade for Christ, Miles Ahead Crusades, and over 250 churches and outreach organizations. They recently partnered with Invisible Children, a non-profit organization providing relief to war-ravaged children in Northern Uganda. In March of 2006, Likeminded released Silhouette, their first original album, at the Coronado Playhouse in San Diego, California. With hundreds cramming the theater to celebrate with the band, the thrill of a new day had begun, and the heart of an old vision had been reignited: to live and sing of truth. Since the release, the music has independently spread to radio and television in a number of international markets such as the Philippines, Australia, the UK, and Canada.
