Amp Models:
Clean: Inspired by* the Eden Traveler, this model is all about clean, funk and fusion bass tone. It’ll give you all the warm lows and punchy highs you need

R&B: Inspired by* a 1968 B-15 Flip Top, this model is a tribute to those late 60’s and early 70’s clean fat bass tones. It is the kind of tone you hear on most Motown recordings, as played by a pioneering young James Jamerson.

Rock: This model is inspired by* the ’74 Ampeg® SVT®. This workhorse has appeared on innumerable recordings and arena stages worldwide. And now all the tone of the 300-pound behemoth 8X10 and head is available in your combo!

Brit: Based on a ’68 Marshall® Super Bass, this model delivers the kind of overdriven bass sound brought to us by late ‘60’s British rock pioneers like Cream and The Who.

Grind: As the name would suggest, this is for modern rock lovers, Alice in Chains to Mudvayne and Rage Against The Machine. Based on* a distorted SansAmp PSA-1 into an SVT® in addition to a direct clean bass signal mixed in, this model gives you that angry, clear and punchy aggression that takes your sound to DEFCON 1.

But that’s not all…
Synth: Sitting at the back of the model knob is this secret weapon that turns LowDown into a ’70s classic bass synth. From funk to modern rock, this synth model delivers incredible tones and tracks every dynamic move you make with ease!

Effects Models:
Envelope filter: Based on* a Q-Tron, this is the baddest envelope filter on the planet. This effect can be heard on tons of major funk and rock tunes.

Octaver: Based on* the EBS® OctaBass®, this effect produces a single note one octave below the pitch of the played note, adding a powerful new vibe to your sound.

Chorus: Based on* the much loved T.C. Electronic® Chorus. This is the most transparent, smooth and expressive chorus for bass ever built. Using it does not reduce your low end and it’s especially beautiful on fretless bass.

Amazing Tone On Stage and In The Studio!
The XLR Direct Output was designed for recording or sending your sound to a house sound system when you’re playing live. This output utilizes our exclusive A.I.R. processing which has made Line 6 products like POD® the undisputed standard for direct recording. Whether you’re playing a gig in a club or rushing off to a recording session, this POD based direct out will give you huge, mic’d amp tone everywhere you go!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Amp, January 29, 2007
By Crash (Springfield, MO) - See all my reviews
I got this amp two weeks ago and I've been blown away by the quality. It has an amazing range of sound, the different amp models and Smart FX let me customize the sound for whatever I want. And it's loud. I play in a metal band and this thing keeps up just fine with my guitar player's 4X10 Marshal stack.
This amp is also very well made. It's tough and durable, and can take a beating. I tend to jump onto and off of it during gigs.
All in all, this is the perfect amp for the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good amp for the money, January 1, 2009
By David Haile (Ft. Collins, CO USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This amp sounds great with my Fender Precision bass. It can be adjusted for the rock-solid sound that I'm looking for. The tuner works but isn't as good as a nice Korg tuner. The best feature is how the Master Volume knob works! Set it at 50% and the amp is about 50% of its maximum loudness. Most other amps I've used are practically full volume at the 50% knob position. I leave this amp on a stage at a church and have my personal preferences programmed behind one of the buttons. Others use this amp and can do anything they want to the sound settings as long as they don't reprogram my setting. That is a great feature.

The ultra-low frequency extension button is not useful where I play. It sounds pretty good at home but makes the sound muddy and boomy in a larger room.

I don't have any use for the amplifier model presets or the Chorus effect, but I use the compressor all the time.

Warning: The amplifier itself is not in the same enclosure as the 15" speaker. There is a friction-fit wire connector between the amp and the speaker. It was a dumb design for that wire to not have a positive connection to the amplifier pcb. It can vibrate off when you move the amp around. It isn't a difficult fix the 2nd time you do it, but you'll rack your brain thinking your amp is broken when all that is wrong is a loose wire to the speaker. I would have given the amp a 5-star review if it weren't for this problem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Amp!!!, September 19, 2008
This amp is most versatile combo amp to date. The sound shaping is endless, and the modeling is precise. I got this at guitar center for $550. This blows Ampeg sound quality out the water. You can literally make any sound with this amp. Really deep lows, and really high highs. Absolutely amazing!!!
