Editorial Reviews

Product Description
If The Little Engine That Could was in a punk rock band, he would be in Patent Pending. Prior to attracting record label attention, they played hundreds of shows, sold thousands of CDs and DVDs, and amassed enough friends on MySpace to fill a small state. Each member grew up on Pop Rocks, Kool-Aid, Bon Jovi, and Urkel. With childhoods like that, starting a punk rock band was almost inevitable. Their We Put Out Records debut contains a hilarious bonus DVD containing the making of the album, homemade movies, and tons of behind the scenes footage.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my fave bands, EVER!, June 15, 2006
I've been a fan for about 2 years now, and I thought their old stuff was amazing, and while this does contain much of their old stuff, it is much better quality and a great buy for any pop punk fans. Trust me, you'll love it, but on itunes, why is "This Can't Happen Again"(the real name)called "Robert Ragosta is a Sellout", wtf!

4.0 out of 5 stars Proud groupie of Benny The Whale, May 17, 2007
I went to see Gym Class Heroes, another of my favorite bands, and these guys were opening. It was my first ever concert and I was expecting to be bored until GCH came out.

To this day, Dozens of concerts later, that Patent Pending show was the second best concert I've ever been to in my entire life. They absolutely OWNED that crowd, And Michaels jesus act left me breathless.

And of course, my first best show ever was also Patent Pending, at a smaller venue, where they had an entire crowd of Ska kids moshing like I've never seen a group of rich white kids mosh in my entire life.

This band is the best live band I have ever seen in my entire life, and I would HIGHLY suggest this album, and even if you don't like it go see them live. It'll change your mind.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Album Really Impressed Me!, January 14, 2007
By Tim. I (LI, NY) - See all my reviews
I actually teach in the high school that these guys went to. So...liking punk rock, and wanting to support the local guys, I bought this album. I was expecting it to be pretty good, but it is actually closer to great! "This Can't Happen Again," and "Los Angeles" would fit right in with any major alternative radio station's playlist. Even though those are the two best songs in my opinion, there is no drop-off in the rest of the tracks. Well done Patent Pending, I look forward to your next release.

Reminds me of being young and in high school again. Fun but heartfelt upbeat songs. Great stuff!
