The kit was easy to use although 2 test sheets would have been nicer since in my case I didn't get enough blood the first time. With what I had, the test results showed I was a "negative" but when I actually gave blood a few months later at a blood drive, it came back "positive". I will never know if not having enough blood on the test paper was the reason for the error or if it was the test itself. I rate it "fair". If you are of age, I recommend donating blood-it's for a good cause..and you will find out your blood type for free!!!!!

I purchased this because I was curious to know my blood type and it sounded like a cool way to do it yourself.
The steps are simple to read and follow, the tools used are easy to handle.
I psyched myself up and couldn't prick my finger so i had to have my sister do it for me. I think she enjoyed it a little too much. At first blood was not coming out but I pushed from the base of my finger to the tip a few times to work some blood out and plenty came. I had to do that for each test circle and it was no problem. That's the only thing they don't tell you, to massage the blood out of your finger tip.
I'd recommend this for anyone who isn't afraid of a little blood because it's easy to use and doesn't take long.

The blood typing kit was easy to use. Don't be intimidated by the thought of doing it at home. I was afraid of the pricking, but the tool they give you is pretty painless and the hole it makes is so small, it's actually a little tough to get 4 drops of blood out, so be prepared to squeeze!
