CD 1, Miss Kittin has subtitled "Perfect Night," as it is a representation of her current peak time club style. Princess Superstar’s opening, "Perfect" (Acapella) announces Miss Kittin’s arrival at the decks and from there she dives head first into a mix of red-hot new and classic underground Techno favorites. Cajmere’s "Percolator," Adam Beyer’s "Walking Contradiction," Drexciya’s "Lost Vessel" and Squarepusher’s "My Red Hot Car" all make appearances.

CD 2, Miss Kittin’s "Perfect Day", is where she weaves her way through her record collection creating a lush soundtrack drawn from ambient classics, minimal moments of beauty and haunting vocal tracks. Some of Miss Kittin’s favorite post-club listens are featured here, including Wagon Christ’s "Shadows," Si Begg’s "Sting ?3," Baby Ford’s "Normal" and Biosphere’s "Le Grand Dôme."

SONAR FAVORITE AND THE HACKER'S BETTER HALF, MISS KITTEN BRINGS SOME MUCH NEEDED TECHNO TO THE BUGGED OUT SERIES. PAST BUGGED OUT MIXES BY EROL ALKAN AND FELIX DA HOUSECAT HAVE BEEN TO ELECTRO INCLINED FOR MY TASTES BUT THIS DOUBLE MIX CD FROM MISS KITTEN TRUTHFULLY CAPTURES THE ENERGY OF ONE OF HER LIVE DJ SETS.

THIS PACK CONSISTS OF TWO CD'S, A NIGHT MIX AND A DAY MIX. THE NIGHT CD BEING THE DANCER FRIENDLY ONE. TO BE QUITE HONEST THE NIGHT CD HAS CONTINOUSLY BEEN PLAYING ON MY IPOD FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. THE INTRO BY PRINCESS SUPERSTAR IS AMAZING AND RIGHT AWAY YOU ARE HIT BY THIS TSUNAMI OF FAST BEATS AND DARK BASS. THANKFULLY THERE IS NO BUILDING OF ENERGY OR MOOD. THE SPEED IS FAST THROUGHOUT THE MIX WITH A FEW HEAVY JOLTS OF ADRENALINE HERE AND THERE. I USUALLY ALWAYS PLAY THIS CD AT THE GYM WHEN I HAVE SOME HEAVY CARDIO TO DO. IT WORKS WONDERS FOR CARDIO MOTIVATION.

THE SECOND CD IS MY LEAST FAVORITE BUT STILL STELLAR. THERE ARE SOME PRETTY HEAVY HITTER NAMES LIKE JAY HAZE, MONOLAKE, BABY FORD, RICARDO VILLALOBOS, AND DOANTO DOOZY BUT MISS KITTEN OPTS OF THE MORE EXPERIMENTAL/AMBIENT/ELECTRONICA WORK OF THESE ARTISTS. ALTHOUGH IT IS MUCH MORE OF AN EASY LISTENING, THE SECOND CD IS STILL BY MANY MEANS A LOT HARDER THAN ANYTHING DEFECTED OR SUBLIMINAL WOULD CONSIDER EASY.

DEFINITELY ONE OF MY FAVORITE CD'S OF 2006. ALL OF MY RESPECTS TO CAROLINE.

TRACK DISAPPOINTMENTS:VILLALOBOS---EASY LEE(CASSY LEE REMIX), FOR SOME REASON I CANT GET INTO THIS TRACK. IT ACTUALLY MAKES ME ANGRY BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL IS SO SICK WITH ITS LOW PITCHED VOCALS.

I'm a fan of hers and look forward to seeing her live some day.. but this mix is very light on vocals and at times is just kind of... there. This is quite different from her normal records and it caught me by surprise.

I downloaded this complete album (cd 1 and 2) off rhapsody after reading Eric's review. After listening to the first then second CD, there is indeed a Night and Day side feel to both of them. The Night side cd is my favorite as its nothing but talented hard techno blended together over tracks and keeps on going and going. If you have a very old mp3 player or computer you will notice pauses in the tracks as it loads the next song, but other than that the songs blend and continue on for 64 minutes.

I'd highly recommend this album to other hardcore techno lovers out there!
