I had bought this item for my 13y son to be able to do craft projects and build his models on, it actually served a greater need he uses it for homework or just sitting at to play video games or read. One of his favorite gifts.

The product is as pictured and everything is very sturdy and easy to use. The chair is very simple to assemble and is much more comfortable than I expected. The lamp is fully adjustable, although some of the parts will shift slightly even when the bolts are fully tightened. Nothing that has really bothered me, though. The only reason I give this 4 stars is that there are no pre-drilled holes on the tabletop! I wish Alvin would realize that not everyone has access to power tools. The instructions said that starting the holes with an awl was also suitable, but this method left me with blisters on my hands after a nearly 2-hour setup time, even though I wore gloves. I would STRONGLY recommend investing in a power drill or borrowing one from a friend if you purchase this table set.
