1.0 out of 5 stars Worst game I ever played., December 16, 2008
By Dale C (New Hampshire) - See all my reviews
Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
Tries to be funny, comes out more like Postal 2. If you enjoy that sort of thing you might enjoy this; but for me it was one of the worst I have installed in years.

4.0 out of 5 stars I bit of Dave Chappelle here, Sam & Max there, toss in a little Serious Sam., October 8, 2008
Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This was a silly game, a game made on a whim in a short amount of time to kill time before one of McGee's bigger projects was ready to be announced, & that seems to be one of the reasons it got shoddy reviews. What you didn't know is that the negative reviews were mostly from gamers who play nothing but shooters & World of Warcraft (& a few McGee fans who were peeved about Oz getting hiatused indefinately & releasing something unTim Burton-like), & as anyone knows, FPS players are very difficult to ammuse or keep entertained for long & don't seem to like variety very much (seeing as they never get sick of playing games set in WWII), so this game was out of their comfort zone, & because of them, people were willing to hate this game before it even came out, because it seemed like a popular trend.

My first introduction was through a 10 minute gameplay video & was instantly reminded of Dave Chappelle, Sam & Max, & Serious Sam. There's no broken gameplay, the AI isn't stupid, the voice acting isn't bad, & there were laughs galore, & in the end, all I can say is that I had more fun playing this than I did Psychonauts.

5.0 out of 5 stars good doughnuts, October 17, 2007
Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
As always I got my purchase before the ETA. It was an interesting game to play a bit hilarious,a bit morbid; I wish it was longer, and included areas like San Fernando Valley with their white skin heads and Asian gangs, and made Beverly Hills more exploratory. The doughnut shop in the mini mall in the first level does exists in real life along with the wackburger joint, but in reality the place is an Asian "take out" place instead of a burger joint. I went to the doughnut shop and told them there mall was in a game but they gave me the "I no speaka English look" with a smile. The doughnuts where good though.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad Game, LAme
I am a huge American McGee fan but this game is shamefully bad. The mechanics of the game would have been better had they been written by chinese gold farmers. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars big disappointment!!
I liked American McGee's other game alice, much better. In this game my main gripe is that, aside from the game being linear in every way imaginable, THE MUSIC CUT OUTS FOR HOURS... Read more
