It's simple - Jaime Pressly in the hottest thing she ever did. These kinds of films are often all gong and no dinner, but not in the case of "The New Seduction". You'll flip your toupee watching it, or I'll eat my shorts. Also, Ms. Milano makes the second entry watchable. What's that? Don't care for the plot, music, story, acting, etc.? Just turn the sound down and enjoy. Get'chr priorities straight, son.

Although lacking the depth, perceptive characterisation and strong performances of the original POISON IVY (which was, essentially, a story about teenage alienation and loneliness rather than the erotic thriller it was billed as), this is a decent sequel with much to commend it. It's main asset is Alyssa Milano, who is stunningly sexy, gorgeous and convincing in the lead role. She dominates the movie, though its very nicely directed by Anne Goursand, who brings the same visual style and sheen she brought to EMBRACE OF THE VAMPIRE. It's a compelling, erotic drama that's a must for all lovers of Alyssa.

The movie was a good thriller, if you are looking for Nudity, the Unrated version could easily have passed for PG. Get "Embrace of the Vampire" if you want good nude sceens of Alyssa Milano.

in the 1990's, actresses Drew Barrymore (Charlie's Angels), Alyssa Milano (Charmed), and Jaime Pressly (My Name is Earl) each headlined the erotic thrillers represented here, the "Poison Ivy Trilogy".

PLOT SPOILERS CONTAINED
In the first film, Barrymore is a voluptuous teen with a mysterious past. New to the school she now attends, she befriends a nerdy girl, Sylvie, who comes from a wealthy family: Her father is a prominent but controversial TV anchor, and her mother, formerly a socialite who is stricken with emphysema at middle age, and getting worse. Sylvie and "Ivy" (a name Sylvie abruptly chooses based on a tattoo she sees on her) become fast friends, and she soon starts living with Sylvie's family, becoming a 'play' sister. But Ivy has more in mind than just hanging out with her new buddy. The sexually precocious Ivy wants to seduce Sylvie's father and take her mom out of the picture. From there, a series of shocking events take place, as the mystery of Ivy starts to creep up on Sylvie.

POISON IVY 2
Alyssa Milano is Lily, a struggling artist who somehow stumbles upon the diaries of Ivy-- and then begins applying Ivy's "life lessons" to her own heretofore humdrum existence, with surprising-- and highly sexualized-- results..

POISON IVY 3
Apparently, "Ivy" was the real name of the girl in part 1-- here we see her, with younger sister Violet, as the playmates of Joy Greer. Ivy and Violet's mom is the housekeeper for the Greer family. She is also apparently the secret lover of Mr. Greer. The girls' mom also has a lover on the side-- who decides to have a 'nooner' at the Greer's residence-- but Mr. Greer comes home early, and everyone's deceit is laid out in the open.. naturally, Mrs.

I guess different people have different expectations of a movie labeled an "erotic thriller". Many people probably watch this movie for the breast shots of Milano, and they won't be disappointed. However, this movie has far more depth than just a showcase for the VERY talented actress and her fine body, it actually has a rather well done plot and a cast of excellent actors as well ! Each character seems to have been perfectly cast for their perspective role, and the story is unpredictable and rather unusual for an erotic thriller. Don't expect the usual tired seductress/broken hearted seductee sleep-a-thon here, this movie actually has plot twists and an interesting story line. I would say that this is the best movie of the 3 movie "Poison Ivy" series, and enthusiastically give it 5 stars.

Okay, so I didn't understand this movie at all. It's suppose to be about a young woman named Lily, who moves to a big college but just doesn't fit in (although, she has female friends and a bunch of guys are clamoring to date her, so I'm not exactly sure how they define "fit in" in this movie). Then, she finds Ivy's old diary ("Ivy" as in "Poison Ivy", the evil seductress chick from the first movie) and starts reading it, and becomes seduced by it's promises of lust and power or whatever.
The thing that's ridiculous about this movie is, all the guys in it are already trying to seduce her long before she starts dressing slutty and declares herself a seductress. I'm serious. Her first "prey", a fellow college student who's a sculptor, tries to seduce her while she's still innocent but after they kiss, she runs away. Then she reads the diary, cuts her hair, puts on some slutty clothes, goes back and finds him and "seduces" him. Honestly, I don't think he even noticed any difference.
Then there's her art teacher. Now, the first Poison Ivy movie was about Drew Berrymore moving in with her friend and then seducing that friend's father and tearing the family apart, as evidenced by the picture on the front of the box of a family photograph being ripped in half. So on the box for Poison Ivy 2, they try to imply the same thing by showing a photograph of the art teacher along with his wife and daughter, and the photograph is being ripped in half. What's funny is, the very first scene in the movie is of the art teacher having sex with another one of his art students but then deciding she's no fun any more and he needs to find a new student to seduce. The art teacher's daughter, who's like five, only comes into play when he hires Lily to baby-sit, in a move to seduce her.
