Most importantly, the thermometer performs its signature task with flair, measuring the temperature between -40 all the way up to 120 degrees F (with alternate readings in Celsius). As a result, users can instantly gauge whether to start heating the pool on a brisk afternoon or give the dog some extra water as he lounges in the shade. Other details include an accuracy rating within plus or minus 2 degrees F, an easy-to-read dial imprint with a red freeze line and ultraviolet fade-resistant inks, and a protective bulb guard. The dial imprint features Red Freeze line and is printed in ultra violet ink, which resist fading. The tube thermometer offers scales in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. This model measures temperatures from +120° to - 40° Fahrenheit and has a protective thermometer bulb guard. The temperature accuracy for the TX1002 is plus or minus two degrees Fahrenheit. I bought two of these to check consistency of temperature in various parts of our new house. Before I deployed them, I set them side-by-side near the thermostat and all three agreed. Then I moved these to two different rooms, which confirmed my belief (and convinced my husband) that we had a few cold rooms. We've replaced a few windows, reinsulated the crawl space and set the furnace blower to run all the time; voila - comfortable house!

the timex thermometer is perfect for looking out the kitchen window. the face is big enough and is the easiest thing to put up and it is ajustable.
