Product Description
The first new album in over four years from this enigmatic German duo. Previous albums "Into The Ice" and "Empire of the Vampire" were heavily influenced by Poe, Stoker, and Hammer Horror, and this disc is no exception. Dark guitar-rock with distinctly European male vocals and female backing vocals. Perfect for dark and stormy nights.

Another person said they'd like to see more "electronic and dancefloor beats" but I'm not sure what exactly this entails or why -- I mean, aren't there already enough bands giving us that? I think this new album by Paralysed Age is dripping with a certain gloomy pathos that is enchanting and a true sense and feeling of Gothic. Some of the better songs seem to be "Cold Winds," "The Grave Shall Be Forever," and "The Key"; however, the more I listened to this cd the more I found that other less catchy songs like "Drawing Room" and "My Guest" have this very mysterious dark quality; it is the type of gloomy calm that will not appeal to those just looking for something to dance to.

I found some of the songs quite shy, for lack of a better word, it was somewhat frustrating hearing a group that has a potential that doesn't show on the final work; I'd like to see them flirting more with electronic and dancefloor beats, going the bloodsucker 2000-next step.
Standouts include for me Drawning room, Cold winds, The grave shall be forever. I loved Empire of the vampire, so it's alwasy good hearing PA return.
