The NETGEAR KWGR614 Open Source Wireless-G Router is an 802.11g wireless router that includes open-source code for Linux developers and enthusiasts. This enables customization and the ability to create firmware for specialized applications.

Wired and Wireless Connectivity The KWGR614 functions as a 802.11g wireless access point, supporting speeds up to 54 Mbps. It is backwards compatible with 802.11b networks. There are two detachable 2dBi antennas included for greater flexibility.
The device also has a built-in switch with four 10/100 Mbps auto-sensing Ethernet ports. The KWGR614 has up to twice the WAN-to-LAN throughput of other home routers for greater performance.
High-Class Security
The KWGR614 supports a Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) firewall that protects against Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. The wireless portion of the router supports WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK encryption, as well as 40/64-bit and 128-bit WEP encryption.
Open Source Extensibility Open-source code is provided for Linux developers and enthusiasts which enables customized firmware for specialized applications. An Open Source Developers Guide is included.
