4.0 out of 5 stars derivative? yes. still really good? yes., September 1, 2006
This review is from: Awesome Color (Audio CD)
yes, they sound much like The Stooges. in my opinion, though, they're one of the few bands that's ever managed to really pull it off convincingly. it doesn't sound forced or contrived. the guitar work is especially ripping. ol' Thurston picked a winner with this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Debut., June 12, 2007
This review is from: Awesome Color (Audio CD)
I saw this trio opening up for Dinosaur Jr in Chicago June 1st of 2007. Their sound blew me away...Unbelievable guitar riffs and the drummer was insanely great. Bought the CD after the set and it does not dissappoint. Cannot wait for the follow up. This CD is good but check them out live if you can.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent, December 29, 2006
By New Yorker "New Yorker" (New York, NY USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Awesome Color (Audio CD)
Yes, as one reviewer put it on this page, this album is reminiscent of the Stooges. No matter, the album is very much listenable. Somehow, I got a feeling that this debut album is a prelude to something stronger and more substantial.
