This is an unusual (to me) 'cereal'. Based upon the ingrediant list, I was expecting a granola or museli-type of cereal, instead, as described in it's description as a 'pestle' cereal, this is powdered mix. When mixed with boiling water, it makes a thin, greenish-grey slurry.

Turned off yet? Don't be.

It's somewhat unappetizing appearance aside, this is a very pleasant tasting product. I hesitate to call it a cereal, more a beverage. The mix of flavors is novel, complex, yet well balanced, with no dominant flavor that I could identify (perhaps a sesame edge?), slightly sweet but not cloying. I expected a heavy, gritty texture like that found in a protien powder energy shake, but the ingrediants are so finely ground there was little grit, instead, the texture was like a heavy stout beer or a thin pea or cream soup, not watery but with body.

It's not enough to qualify as a hearty breakfast, but as a snack it is satisfying in flavor and quantity.

While I won't make this an everyday food item, I will likely buy it again.

Well worth checking out.
