Don't get me wrong, the RhinoCase is very secure, but it was kind of a hassle to get my macbook in and out, and its bulkiness became annoying for coffeeshop visits and the like. It was too much of a hassle to just whip out the macbook for a quick check or note on the train or bus. I never used the straps, because the case is not weatherproof, so I was hesitant to just carry it around naked, and it takes up a lot of room in a bag.

They say you can use the case as a laptop stand when open, which is true, but the hard edges and corners of the case make typing on the laptop feel dicey, and forget about using it like that on your lap. Even when using it on a table, there's no LRF support (little rubber feet) to keep it from sliding around.

If I'm expecting rough treatment, I'll certainly take the RhinoCase along, but for most trips with my laptop, a regular bag suffices. Also, I was annoyed to discover that while the accessory box is big enough to hold the power brick and other cables, it is just slightly too small to hold a mighty mouse, and won't shut when you put one inside.

This case is made of so, so plastic.
Unlike its name, it does not fit like a perfect skin.
The attachable accessory compartment only fits the macbook power adapter but not the extension cord. It does not fit a small mouse, even when the adapter is not in.
It does not close air tight.
The attachable straps look a bit weak, I would walk slowly if this was attached to my back.
The latches to close the case get in the way when you're trying to type.

The good things

It does seem to have space for ventilation

I would say it's worth about 25 to 30 dollars

I bought this case so that I would feel comfortable transporting my laptop in a pannier on my bicycle. It is extremely solid and I am very satisfied with it. That said, the appearance of the case does not aesthetically match the device it houses.

If all you are looking for is protection, buy this case. If you want something that looks beautiful as well then this is not for you.
