The transmission line always seems to be the "last thing on the list? when putting together your broadcast station, however it is probably the most important component of the system! The transmission line together with an efficiant antenna can be the difference of night and day for a station! Standard RG-8 coax will work for short runs, but provide considerable loss as the length increases. This loss results in your transmitter power literrally being burned up and lost in the cable before it reaches the antenna! Lower power at the antenna means lower range of your station. It?s as simple as that! LMR400 cable is your best bet for the lowest lost alternative to rigid Heliax feed line. Each length is factory cut, connectorized with a Type-N connector to match your transmitter and a PL-259 to match our FMA200 or FMA300 antennas above. Each finished cable length is frequency swept across the entire FM band prior to shipment.
