5.0 out of 5 stars The Essence of Womanhood, March 17, 2007
By Frank Butash "FrankButash@msn.com" (West Hartford, CT United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I'm surprised to see that I'm the first person to review this amazing work of art. CT CPTV was running a fundraiser when I happend to tune through and catch Hayley Westenra start to sing Lascia Ch`Io Pianga.

This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard in my life. It's from Handel's Opera Rinaldo, and translates "Let me Weep".

Well, if you don't do so after the first two phrases you're made of sterner stuff than I am.

The entire album is astonishing in every way. The DVD is equally so. Both are monumental tributes to womanhood

... once in a lifetime.
