It's estimated that 10,000 steps is the equivalent of roughly 5-1/4 miles (the actual number may vary based on step stride), so all but the most tenacious ultra-marathon walkers will be covered by the CS-1. And the pedometer couldn't be easier to use, with a large LCD display, a single reset button, and an instruction diagram on the inside of the lid that calculates calorie levels. The CS-1, which sports a clamshell design to prevent accidental resetting, also comes with an extra-heavy-duty spring clip that attaches to a belt or pack.
