I purchased this for the 3 month old son of a friend. I hadn't realized because the amazon description failed to mention this, but the toy is meant for children over 1 years old. I believe this is because the eyes on "Hamlet" are plastic and may present a choking hazard.

Otherwise, "Hamlet" is very cute and soft and of the 'bean bag' variety in that his bottem is filled with plastic beads.
