This tip is needed for IBM/Lenovo notebooks using dual-core CPUs, including the ThinkPad T60, X60, etc and up. Older ThinkPads use a different tip.

It works great. Not sure what else positive I can say... I'm extremely unhappy about how expensive it was (it cost almost half the price of the power adapter itself), though it was cheaper ordering from Amazon than Targus directly.
