"Adobe Creative Suite CS3 Production Premium" is arguably the best video content and production suite available on the market. This review is for the PC version but I know users of the MAC verison, Adobe Creative Suite CS3 Production Premium [Mac], who also think very highly of the package. This suite contains many of Adobe's best known software, including:

Photoshop CS3 extended, Illustrator CS3, Flash CS3 Professional, After Effects CS3 Professional, Premiere Pro CS3, Soundbooth CS3, Encore CS3, OnLocation, Ultra CS3

My main business is making instructional videos, so get the most use out of Photoshop (the BEST of the advanced photo editing software on the market), After Effects (fantastic effects software), and Soundbooth (used to fix audio). Ultra is used for advanced chromakey (greenscreen), but is not really that useful to me as Premier Pro and After Effects both have basic chromakey functionality built in.

The suite has too many features to provide a detailed review of each of the programs, so I recommend that you look at each of the individual programs to determine if they fit your needs. The suite price was worthwhile for me since it cost less than the total price of three programs I was interested in buying individually.

The suite does include the full printed user manuals and a DVD with lessons, but you might be interested in Class on Demand: Basic Training for Adobe CS3 Production Premium: Adobe Educational Training Tutorial DVD includes Premiere Pro CS3 as well.

Highly recommended for video professionals and prosumers alike!
