Want Watts? We got watts! Centrifugal Pressure Resistance (CPR) provides the most realistic simulation of riding a bicycle ever! The 1up Trainer has a functional range for continuous operation from 4 watts (5 MPH) to over 3,000 watts (42 MPH). 1up Trainer has the widest range of resistance in the industry (4 to 3,000 watts). But it also accommodates light exercising for Grandma, and every level in between. This new resistance technology outperforms fluid, magnetic and wind trainers. You can't zing this trainer up to an unrealistic 40 or 50 mph. If you can pedal your bicycle 30-mph outdoors, then that's how fast you will be able to pedal your bicycle on our trainer. 20 mph feels like 20 mph, unlike other trainers. The CPR provides no resistance until 7 mph for easy starts or light training. After 7 mph resistance increases exponentially. The 1up Trainer has a RC (resistance curve) adjustable system. The RC System allows the rider to change the resistance curve in the trainer. The CPR is also the quietest and smoothest system available. 1up Bicycle Trainers are fluid free, NO LEAKS! I don't review things very often but I couldn't let this product languish without at least one review. It's too good a product.

I've owned on of these for several years now and must say it absolutely lives up to the description. Very realistic performance with an easy ramp up and a long coast spin time but don't let that fool you. This thing can deliver punishment when you shift into high gear and get your speed up. Awesome, quiet, performance.

The construction quality is really top notch - lots of machined alloy parts and a huge flywheel. I hear very little tire squeak even when I really stand on the pedals due, I believe, in large part the the over sized flywheel diameter.

My only complaint is the cups aren't cut to support my quick release so I need to use one of the cheap old-style skewers (the ones with the L-shaped lever). On the upside the full cups and just general over-engineered nature of this thing gives a secure feel. I've never had a problem with stability despite my 190 lbs size and strong legs.

So no more excuses about the weather or whatever. Just get one of these and a couple Spinervals DVDs and you're set to get in the best cycling shape of your life.

Before I found a road bike review of trainers, I had no idea this unit was available. I originally ordered the Cycleops 2, but then discovered this far superior alternative. The manufacturer only sells direct, but gives free shipping, a life-time guarantee and has incredible customer service. I am very happy with this trainer.
