4.0 out of 5 stars Good Soul Music, August 6, 2007
This is a great soundtrack to listen after watching the movie. However, there were several songs that were played in the movie which is not on this particular soundtrack, which is disappointing, ie. Sly and the Family Stone and Sam Cooke. I hope when the movie is out on DVD, perhaps they will product a 2nd original sountrack. Also, in the movie, the original version of Les McCann "Compared to What" is played, but a mixed version is on the soundtrack. That is a classic song and I feel it should have been on this CD.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sam Cook? Hello?, January 29, 2008
By Paul III (Austin, Texas) - See all my reviews
The entire film hinges on the song "Change Is Gonna Come," by the great Sam Cook, yet it does not appear on this release? Come on now.

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of Time, April 22, 2008
By F. leak "Do-Do" (Charlotte NC) - See all my reviews

Sorry I didn't take the time to check each song listed before the purchase. I enjoyed the movie so much I felt the CD would represent the songs I heard. Not one hit I was looking for was on the CD. A waste of money!
