I admit it. I'm old. But even a 40something like me can appreciate the energy and inventiveness of these little neo-punk/folksy kids.

Japanther is like Radiohead if all the members were about 15 years old. If only they'd play stuff like this on the radio.

This cd is particularly fantastic because it captures the live sound and experience as much as ever could be on a recording. So many of these songs get stuck in your head. After listening to it non-stop for weeks, I still have to pull it out and listen to it almost a year later. It's definitely on my top 10. (you can hear samples on myspace.)
