The MEDICAL FRESHETTE is a lightweight, reusable, sanitary, urine director with a hard plastic funnel (shaped for the female anatomy), and the soft, 6 inch and a 36 inch removable tube. It is designed for use by the elderly or physically challenged women; or for incontinence or IC (Interstitial Cystitis), lower extremity weakness, balance problems, orthopedic problems (hip and knee problems) arthritis, as well as bed-bound or wheelchair-bound women. It is able to fit into the "fly" of the pants (move underware to the side) and when fitted snuggly against the body between the legs, and tilted downward (gravity is a must), it allows females to urinate (pee) from a sitting, reclined or standing position. The MEDICAL FRESHETTE provides a hygienic, personal, discreet way to void (pee) from beds or wheelchairs and eliminates the need for a transfer. It also eliminates the need to expose onself. Just positon, place the end of the tube in the commode (gravity a must) or collection container, lean and pee. Once used, gently scrape it against the body to catch the last few drops of urine, shake the tube as it is emptied into the toilet or collection container, then rinse. Clean with mild soap and water when available. The MEDICAL FRESHETTE may also be used in conjuction with the Freshette Disposable Collection Bags (sold separately). REMEMBER, GRAVITY (TILTING IT DOWNWARD) IS A MUST! The MEDICAL AND SPORT FRESHETTE as well as the URINE COLLECTION BAGS) ARE ALSO MEDICARE APPROVED AND NUMBERED and is used extensively in most of the Shriner's Hospitals, in many Home Health Agencies and Nursing Homes nationwide.
