5.0 out of 5 stars Why no love for Witchery?, January 20, 2008
This band, for whatever reason, just doesn't seem to get the attention they deserve. Anyway, "Symphony for the Devil" is their best album and it deserves the attention of metalheads the world over. A combination of thrash and death metal styles it is also a musician's dream. The elements that make up the moments of this compilation are thrilling to listen to and I can only imagine that they would be fun to play.

"Omens," "Bone Mill," and "The Pharaoh's Hearse" are the best songs on this album, but there isn't a weak point. It is truly amazing and serious metal enthusiasm. They remind me of Megadeth mostly, though there is a serious comparison to Slayer and Mastodon that's possible. On the other hand this band is so one of a kind that there is really no one that they emulate. I recommend that you pick this one up along with "Don't Fear the Reaper." You won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing.. Metal Lovers Dream, December 27, 2008
By Metal Queen (Portland, Oregon) - See all my reviews
Like the other reviewers, don't understand why not more popular..maybe it's lack of marketing in which case it's a damn shame..wonderful, fantastic, creative metal! Metal On!

5.0 out of 5 stars Underrated is an under statement, February 2, 2008
How can this album receive so little acclaim considering it has one of THE best death metal songs of all-time, which is "Enshrined" (track #11).

I feel like beating someone up when I hear this. Even if you don't get this cd, at least download this song on your ipod.
