After years of apartments, I found that some kind of soothing sound does wonders to mask the noise of communal living. And I love rainstorms, the ones without all the thunder. The Navajo call these storms "Female Rain". When the cd I used regularly went missing a short time ago, I ordered this one. It is perfect. The rain hitting tin is slightly more intense, the splash of the drops is perfect, but it is deep and even and soothing. I use it for meditation, sleep, and just for background when I read. My old cd has returned, and still gets used too, but I'm very glad I have "Rain on a Tin Roof" to add to the mix. This review would not be complete without kudus to the shipper who handled everything perfectly.

This was a total impulse buy. I have a couple other cds by Pure White Noise and play them all the time for getting to sleep. When I saw this one I had to have it since I remember taking naps at my grandmothers house with the rain falling on her old metal roof. This is that sound and nothing else. No music, voices ect. And it is perfect. As instructed, play at a low comfortable volume. I recommend this cd for anyone who remembers this cozy nostaglic sound.

I love to sleep with the sound of the rain and have been looking for this sound for a while. I listened to the sound sample for this CD on the Pure White Noise website as suggested by the other reviewer and ordered. This is exactly as it says, rain falling on a metal tin roof. Absolutely Perfect! Apparently Amazon has the newer version of this CD as mine arrived a 74 minute CD - not 60 minutes, so another plus.
