I have been a connoisseur of belly dancing for many years and I can say that these women absolutely know belly dancing. From their technical skill to their artistic interpretation, this is truly a balanced and professional DVD throughout. That fact that the DVD was produced by a dancer was also quite evident as the true art form was highlighted which has not been the case with other belly dancing DVDs I've purchased. By Dancers for Dancers is a beautiful representation of one of my favorite art forms.

This is a very solid performance dvd, and I think it's a great value for the money. All of the dancers are polished, graceful, and professional. As with Vol. 1, there were no crazy camera angles that were a distraction- the whole dancer was in view the entire time.
I enjoyed watching the different ways each dancer interpreted the music, and they all had beautiful costumes and were beautiful to watch! All of the dancers chose routines that focused on their dancing (not their props) and I found them all to be very fluid dancers.
This DVD is full of good performances. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

I always buy the IAMED DVDs, but I will never pay $40 for a DVD again. This one had better performances hands down and the production quality was excellent. The producer, Michelle (Cheeky Girls Productions), also makes great instructionals that I LOVE LOVE LOVE. I highly recommend everything in their catalog.

Specifically about this DVD:
1 - It features top notch professional dancers who are underexposed in more frequent outlets (BDSS, IAMED, Hollywood Music Center).
2 - The lighting is fantastic and the live show feel is exciting (great audience that gets great performances out of the girls)
3 - There is no tribal, but it has a variety of cabaret performances
4 - The editing is perfect! No MTV boobcam. No fast cuts to hide the dance. Mostly full body shots with just enough close ups.
5 - Did I mention the dancing is amazing??
6 - It is part of a series and they are all equally good
7 - Finally - something of quality that is also affordable
