Chaplain Cain an Autobiography gives a detailed account of L. Wingate Cain who served as a chaplain in the US Army during WWII and the Korean conflict. He served in combat mainly with the 30th Infantry Regiment, 5th Army and reached the rank of Colonel before retiring from the Army. The book is filled with personal stories of his experiences in North Africa, Italy, and Germany - including the landing at Anzio. Chaplain Cain not only tells the history, but reveals Gods hand on the front lines.
Rev. LW Cain was born in White Oak, NC and lived most of his adult life in Rutherford County, NC. He was born in 1900 and passed away in 1995, saving an untold number of souls in that time.
