I picked one of these up a few weeks ago. It was great for what I need it for. We had a opossum infestation in our yard, he was stealing our cat food and terrorizing our cats. We caught it within 3 days and I decided to set the trap back out again just to see what else it would catch and I caught 2 more. After we released them in the country we haven't noticed any more cat food thieves since

Pros-Despite the animals thrashing around in the trap it took a vicious beating and still works great. The price is lower than many other similar traps.

Cons- The only thing i found is that the trigger needed some adjusting initially. I just had to be a little smarter than the opossum, to figure it out.

I sent the trap back. The trip mechanism is not effective and certain moveable parts jam. It is cheaply made.

The two traps I purchased are great except for the fact that the trap door does not hold well and many attempts are made to get the door to stay open. Once that has been accomplished, the trap door does not release well. I have had several cats go into the trap and eat the food, turn around and walk out and never get trapped. They look great but perform poorly. I am going to have someone try to fix the problem with the latch before attempting to catch any more cats.
