4.0 out of 5 stars Fun and full of promise, April 1, 2008

Operator Please is basically a younger, cleaner, Australian version of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, which definitely isn't as bad thing. "Yes Yes Vindictive" is the group's debut CD, and it's pretty decent. The best track by far is "Get What You Want," an intense, high-energy song. Other highlights include "Just a Song About Ping Pong," which features some amazing vocal Olympics by the lead singer; "Other Song," a more mellow number that incorporates nice female harmony; and "Pantomime," the most relaxed song on the album that demonstrates the band's versatility.

I enjoyed this CD and think Operator Please has a lot of potential. We'll see what they come up with next.

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly good., January 21, 2008
Operator Please is great! Totally didn't think this teeny Australian band could rock -- but they do! Goofy and audacious. Great random find.
