Yes, the cable co. will provide so many before they charge you, so I bought a couple. They synched up fine with the tv, but never with the cable box. I tried the codes provided and the code search but no luck. So they remain useless in the shipping bag.

I'm not too sure about other Comcast Market areas, but my local Comcast gives this remote out free to local customers.

Why buy this remote, honestly?

Don't get me wrong, it works very well with the comcast digital boxes and other services, but, again....why pay for it. Just stop by the Comcast office and pick one up, if you need one.

If your going to by a universal remote, I definitely don't recommend PURCHASING A CABLE PROVIDER'S BRANDED REMOTE. Get a remote that's not affilated with a cable or dish company and you'll definitely get more bang for you buck.
