5.0 out of 5 stars The Best AUTUMN OFFERING Yet!, November 29, 2007
I have been a fan of this band since their first album REVELATIONS OF THE UNSUNG. As their second album EMBRACE THE GUTTER was an improvment to their first, FEAR WILL CAST NO SHADOW is even better. The new album is better in every way, but most noticably in the vocal department, with the addition of new vocalist, Matt McCuesney. With an album this good I would think that these guys are off to greater heights in the metal ranks, but as is, they seem to be flying under the radar. Discover what I already know, these guys are great! FEAR WILL CAST NO SHADOW will occupy a spot on my top ten list for best albums of the 2007. If you are a fan of Killswitch Engage, Trivium (before The Crusade), Soilwork, or any other brutal but melodic band, this should hit the spot. Do AUTUMN OFFERING and yourself a favor, buy this album!

5.0 out of 5 stars whoah, April 19, 2008
I am an old school metal kind of guy....YOu know, metallica, megadeth, iron maiden, sabbath....

Lately though, I have been more open to the current genre of metal. And their is alot of music out now that I like. 2 Bands i have just kind of discovered recently and like is Machine head's newest album, and divine heresy.

And when I listen to this stuff, All I can think of is. Would it be such a crime to have melodic guitars, melodic vocals during choruses, AND guitar solos??????????????????????????????????? like would it? would that be a crime? Because I think that would sound pretty good. Its seems bands these days are either one or the other.

Well, this band is the answer. I have only heard a handfull of songs on this album, but what I have heard, just rocks. So I am giving them the benefit of the doubt. "crown yourself king" was the first song I heard from them, and its awesome, defenitatly reccomend checking them out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprise, surprise!!!, February 11, 2008
I was extremely surprised when I heard the song From Atrophy to Obsession from the CD, Fear Will Cast No Shadow...
I immediately went and bought the CD...
I was left speechless after listening to Fear Will Cast No Shadow...
I can't believe I waited so long to buy this CD
Best late release of 2007...
The Autumn Offering are very talented and offer a very good mix of thrash and death metal (more thrash than death and some melody!!!)...
If you like fast paced metal with "gut wrenching" guitar solos; Fear Will Cast No Shadow is for you...
But let me warn you...the vocals of some of the songs are still very dark (death metal like). That's the only thing that could turn away some metal fans.
I've never liked death metal, but musically Fear Will Cast No Shadow is one of the best METAL releases in years. These guys are true musicians and the mixed of death, thrash and contemporary vocals should not be turned away by true metal fans, and to me...should be considered revolutionary...
Plus the music is almost perfect...Just give it a shot...
