This armband is not specifically for the ipod touch 2nd gen. But it does hold the 2nd gen ipod touch in place becasue it has a snap located on the top that keeps it from falling out. It does move around a bit, so if you can find a 2nd gen ipod touch case, get it. But this one still gets the job done.

It is a very serious arm band for iPhone.
VEry secure.
Then, of course a little bit inconvenient when I tried to touch the screen through the thick/loose plastic cover. ;)

The armband fell apart within minutes of trying to use it. The stitch came out where the band joins the ipod "pocket" and it shredded in seconds. STAY AWAY! What a hunk of junk.
