The truck tether makes a very good impression. It even comes with a stylish pouch that holds all parts when it is not in use. The whole setup seems solid and the leash will prevent your dog from jumping overboard. BUT: I deduct two stars for misleading advertisement - you need to buy a harness for this to work safely, which is not mentioned in the product description! THIS IS NOT A STANDALONE PRODUCT, YOU WILL NEED TO BUY A KURGO HARNESS!!!

California, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, Oregon, Washington, Florida, Rhode Island, and Hawaii have all passed laws restricting the transportation of dogs in the back of a pickup. Other states have bills pending. Aside from that this is an unsafe product, riding in the back of a truck is completely unsafe for dogs.
