'Ghosts' continues the creative maturity in song writing that Laura is establishing in her music. The song is an enchanting tale of young lovers haunted by the memory of lost love ("these are the ghosts, the ghosts that broke my heart before I met you.."), the grief suffered ("…he says, I'm so lost, not well at all") and the refuge found in friendship ("we were just lovers crying on each other's shoulder"). The song starts simply and builds with the beautiful addition of xylophone, fiddle and percussion as the tale unfolds and reaches its crescendo. Laura Marling is one of Jo Whiley's favourite artists for 2008. She has already performed on Later with Jools Holland causing much word of mouth and anticipation for this exciting new artist.

I heard Laura on Last FM and liked it so I bought this CD. I guess I should have looke a little closer at the description. 8.49 for 2 songs??? I assumed I was buying an album. The tunes are great, but Im pretty dissapointed over all. Who puts out singles?????
